Popular Works at the Magazine

October 21st, 2008 by mylightmagazine

Eliza the BlabbermouthIf you haven’t checked out the comments page at the magazine’s website, take a look. So far this month we’ve had 2 favorite pieces.

1. “Eliza the Blabbermouth” by Suzannah Hayes

2. “Pumpkin Shapes” by Alice Beesley.

Great work guys.

“Eliza the Blabbermouth” is a fun story about friendship and decisionmaking. When should you tell a grown-up?

“Pumpkin Shapes” is a fun poem all about the shapes we see when we put together a jack-o-lantern.

October 2008 issue is up

October 1st, 2008 by mylightmagazine

Hi My Light readers and contributors!

The October 2008 issue of My Light Magazine is now up at http://mylightmagazine.com .

One of the big focouses of this issue was Saint Francis of Assisi.  There’s a puzzle about him, an article, a story and even some Paper Dolls by Candace J. Hardy.  Diane Smit did a great job on her retelling of the Bible story: Jesus Blesses Children.

There’s so much fun packed in this issue. So go ahead over and take a look! Don’t forget to stop at the comments page to tell us about your visit.

Contributors:

Be sure to check out our Current Needs page. I have specific ideas listed on what I’d like to see in November, December, January and February.

Enjoy the issue!
